Ginger supplementation boosts insulin resistance in patients with type 2 diabetes rct

A study to identify the effect of some herbal products on insulin resistance shows that patients with type 2 diabetes who took ginger supplements had attained better insulin resistance than those who took a placebo. The randomised controlled trial demonstrated that consumption of a one-gram capsule of ginger powder three times a day for 8 weeks improved fasting blood sugar, reduced HbA1c and lowered insulin resistance.
