Blackmores Institute supports the development of future leaders in the field of complementary medicine through our academic and practice grants. The aim of the grants is to build capacity, expertise and research in complementary medicine.

Maurice Blackmore Chair of Integrative Medicine
Established in 2015 as a result of a $1.3 million grant from Blackmores Institute, the Chair sits within the
University of Sydney's preeminent
Sydney Medical School. Its role is to promote research and essential medical education in complementary medicine.
National Institute of Complementary Medicine (NICM) Scholarship Program
This program is a series of three scholarships offered at
Western Sydney University – two PhD students over three years and a Masters of Research student over two years.
Australian Research Centre in Complementary and Integrative Medicine (ARCCIM) Leadership Program
This program is run through the
University of Technology Sydney and is funded through a three-way partnership between Blackmores Institute, Blackmores Foundation and
Jacka Foundation of Natural Therapies. Program Fellows are competitively selected from universities around the globe to collaborate on research projects and peer-review publications. The program offers early career researchers the chance to build international networks and supports ongoing career mentoring.
Chulalongkorn University Thailand
Offered through the Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences at
Chulalongkorn University Thailand this grant is to fund the faculty to investigate the interface between complementary medicines and community pharmacies.
Taylor’s University, Malaysia
A research project with the Pharmacy Faculty to determine the degree of integration of complementary medicines into Malaysian community pharmacies.
