Weight loss plus vitamin D reduces inflammation linked to cancer chronic disease post menopause

Weight loss, in combination with vitamin D supplementation, has a greater effect on reducing chronic inflammation than weight loss alone in post-menopausal women, pioneering US research shows. Chronic inflammation is known to contribute to the development and progression of several diseases, including some cancers and researchers at Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center, in Seattle, Washington, say that their data is the first to establish vitamin D’s role in this area.
