Supplemental vitamin C taken by pregnant smokers improves measures of lung function for newborns and decreases the incidence of wheezing for infants in their first year of life, according to a study published this week in JAMA.  The study was released early online to coincide with its presentation at the American Thoracic Society International Conference.
