Topical lavender oil promotes wound healing japanese research

Using lavender oil topically on wounds promotes healing by accelerating tissue granulation, Japanese research shows.   The study authors, from the Morinomiya University of Medical Sciences in Osaka investigated the effect of lavender oil on various steps of wound healing and its molecular mechanism, focusing on transforming growth factor-beta (TGF-β) and say theirs is the only research to examine the molecular mechanisms of its effect.
