Threefold surge in published research on yoga

The number of articles in peer-reviewed journals worldwide about clinical trials of yoga therapy to alleviate disease-related symptoms has tripled in the last decade, new research from the US shows. According to the researchers, writing in The Journal of Alternative and Complementary Medicine, the surge in publications has occurred in parallel with an increase in healthy U.S. adults practicing yoga (approximately 21 million) according to the 2012 National Health Interview Survey.
