Six comp meds among therapies in new depression treatment guidelines

New clinical practice guidelines issued this month by the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatry name omega 3 fatty acids and St John’s Wort among evidence-based complementary therapies used in the management of mood disorders. According to a media statement from RANZCP, the 'Clinical Practice Guidelines for Mood Disorders' bring together the most up-to-date evidence available internationally for treatment of these conditions and will be useful for psychiatrists, psychologists and all specialties within mental health.
