Profile on Blackmores Institute symposium speaker Dr Antigone Kouris

Dr Antigone Kouris is Adjunct Associate Professor in the Faculty of Health Sciences, School of Allied Health, Department of Dietetics and Human Nutrition at La Trobe University in Melbourne. In 1995 she became the first researcher to show that adherence to the Mediterranean diet in old age reduces mortality. Her research team was also the first to develop a validated Mediterranean diet score which is now used by many other researchers around the world working in this area.
