Probiotics prevent insulin resistance

Probiotics prevent insulin resistance in otherwise healthy people who over-eat and consume high-fat foods, a new study finds. The study results show those in the control group had an almost 30 per cent increase in insulin sensitivity whereas normal insulin sensitivity was maintained in the group taking the probiotic supplementation Lactobacillus casei Shirota (LcS).
