Post-op omega-3 may benefit GI cancer patients

A new meta-analysis has confirmed that early intervention with an omega-3 fatty acid emulsion in gastrointestinal cancer not only improves the postoperative indicators of immune function, reduces inflammatory reaction, and improves the postoperative curative effect, but also improves the immune suppression induced by conventional parenteral nutrition or tumor.
