Overweight people with dark skin need higher vitamin d doses to restore healthy levels

A daily intake of more than three times the recommended minimum is needed to restore a healthy blood level of vitamin D in dark skinned people who are overweight, according to new US research. The study authors, writing in the journal BMC Obesity, are now calling for a review of the minimum daily dose of vitamin D in these individuals.
