Optimal serum selenium concentration linked to less depressive symptoms in youth study

An “optimal” range of serum selenium is linked to a reduction of depressive symptoms and negative mood in young people, a New Zealand study published online this week shows. In an observational study almost 1000 young adults aged between 17 and 25 years reported their negative and positive mood daily in an Internet diary for just on two weeks.
