Omega 3 supplements and antioxidants beneficial for preclinical alzheimers disease

US researchers are calling for larger studies on early treatments for Alzheimer’s disease, following the release of yet more evidence on the benefits of fish oil supplementation. Published in the July issue of the FASEB Journal the latest study in the mounting evidence for use of fish oil and antioxidants in early treatment of Alzheimer’s disease shows that patients taking the supplement over the course of four to 17 months had an improvement in cognitive function.
