Multivitamin use decreases clinical vitamin deficiencies

A North American study has found that a large portion of the United States population aged 51 years and over experiences nutritional inadequacies with obesity contributing to or influencing the shortfall. However, those that took multivitamin supplements had higher intakes of most micronutrients.
