Low vitamin D exacerbates asthma in obese children

New research has added important findings to the growing evidence base for the potential protective effect of vitamin D in asthma.

Studying obese children with asthma, the researchers found that children with low individual vitamin D levels had their asthma symptoms were exacerbated when they were exposed to fine particulate air pollution indoors (PM2.5).
