Hops may help reduce breast cancer risk

A team of US-based scientists has data showing that an extract from the plant that produces hops, the flower cones used in beer-making, could help fend off breast cancer. Hops, are also found in dietary supplements designed to help treat post-menopausal symptoms and other conditions. The latest research, published in the journal Chemical Research in Toxicology, reports new lab tests on breast cells support the possibility of effectiveness against cytotoxic cells.
