Despite differences in post-op vitamin D status between patients undergoing either laparoscopy sleeve gastrectomy (LSG) or laparoscopic Roux-en-Y gastric bypass (LRYGB), the researchers, writing in the journal Obesity Surgery, conclude that “all patients undergoing bariatric surgery should receive high-dose vitamin D supplementation” irrespective of the surgical technique used. × To continue reading this article, please Log In or Sign Up for access.
