Gut microbiome insights headline key research presented at acg 2015

Insights into the gut microbiome, including how changes in the gut may play a role in predicting treatment failure in faecal microbiota transplantation (FMT); understanding the safety and effectiveness of FMT for Clostridium difficile; and exploration of whether donor stool can impact an FMT recipients’ weight, headline key research to be presented at the American College of Gastroenterology's (ACG) 80th Annual Scientific Meeting. More than 4,000 gastroenterologists, physicians and other health care professionals from around the world will convene at the Hawaii Convention Center this week in Honolulu to review and present the latest scientific advances in gastrointestinal research, treatment of digestive diseases and clinical practice management.
