Growth of CM use in APAC provides increasing need for evidence based pharmacist advice

A US report showing the growth in complementary medicine (CM) use in the Asia Pacific region, identifies an increasing number of opportunities to provide evidence-based advice on the best use of complementary medicines to their patients each day. The recent report [i], by US-based market research group, Persistence Market Research found that growth of CM use in the Asia Pacific region is fueling growth globally, and that the global vitamin supplement market is growing by more than 6 per cent annually. It is believed that much of the demand is being driven by an ageing population.
