Green tea supplement improves acne in post adolescent women

A decaffeinated green tea extract significantly improves acne in post adolescent women, research shows. In a randomised, double-blind, placebo-controlled clinical trial a group of 80 women, aged between 25 to 45 years, received either a daily dose of  1500 mg of decaffeinated green tea extract (providing a daily dose of 856mg of epigallocatechin gallate or EGCG) or placebo (cellulose) for four weeks.
