New research has found women’s mental wellbeing is associated with a Mediterranean-like diet whereas men’s mental wellbeing is associated with consumption of a Western-like diet.

Reporting in Nutritional Neuroscience, the study used an anonymous internet-based survey sent through social media platforms to different social and professional networks with a total sample of 563 participants completing the questionnaire (men = 272 and women 291).
