Fewer hospital days for oldies taking selenium and coq10

Older people with mild to moderate cardiac disease spend fewer days in hospital and have a better quality of life when supplementing their diets with coenzyme Q10 and selenium a sub analysis from new Swedish research shows. Used for many cellular functions and antioxidant protection, coenzyme 10 (CoQ10) is present in all cells, and is particularly important in the cardiac muscle cells where energy requirements are high.
