Optimising blood iron levels in healthy younger women is linked to better performance on their executive functioning, a recent study shows. “These findings suggest cognitive ramifications of mild iron deficiency in otherwise healthy women of reproductive age and have implications for daily well-being,” the authors conclude in the Journal of Nutrition.
