Coq10 lowers incidence of atrial fibrillation in patients with heart failure

Adding coenzyme Q10 to standard treatment of heart failure patients reduces the incidence of comorbid atrial fibrillation, Chinese research shows. Over a 100 patients (ages ranging from 45 to 82 years) with heart failure (HF) and episodic atrial fibrillation (AF) were randomised to either coenzymeQ10 (CoQ10) with standard therapy or standard therapy alone.
