Carnitine supplement boosts muscle stamina in animal studies

Rodents given a carnitine supplement have a better exercise tolerance and stamina to ones who weren’t, new data shows, leading the US researchers to believe there may be a way to improve exercise tolerance and, by extension, its positive effects, in humans. The benefits of exercise are well known, but physical fitness becomes increasingly difficult as people age or develop ailments, creating a downward spiral into poor health.
