Vitamin D lowers triglyceride levels post menopause

A daily dose of vitamin D may decrease triglyceride levels in post-menopausal women at higher risk of heart disease, new research shows. Around 100 postmenopausal women with type 2 diabetes were randomly assigned in a double-blind manner to either a 4,000 IU vitamin D supplement a day or a placebo tablet.
