Researchers call for improvement in pre conception folic acid despite high use of pregnancy

The use of multivitamins and other supplements prior to and during pregnancy among educated Sydney-based women is relatively high, new data shows, but the researchers say pre-conception folic acid supplementation rates could still be improved. The study, published in the Australian and New Zealand Journal of Obstetrics and Gynaecology, included almost 600 women who had their babies at either the Royal Hospital for Women or Royal North Shore campuses.
