Implementing just one service such as in-pharmacy reviews of a patients’ medicines will not give the financial “grunt” needed to move community pharmacies forward and pharmacy owners need to be thinking about a bundle services they can provide, according to Professor of Pharmacy Charlie Benrimoj.  Professor Benrimoj, Head of the Graduate School of Health at the University of Technology Sydney, believes a “massive transition” will occur in the pharmacy services business model in the next three to four years, a change that would accelerate in the next 18 months, as many players would enter the space.
