Australian team pioneers research on curcumin and dementia prevention

An Australian clinical trial into the potential prevention or delay in onset of Alzheimer's disease using a curcumin formula is set to begin its intervention phase. The second part of the trial — KARVIAH (Kerr Anglican Retirement Village Initiative in Ageing Health) — will measure the effects of curcumin, found in the Indian spice turmeric, on 100 residents aged 65 to 90 who live independently in the village.
