An interview with blackmores institute symposium keynote speaker caroline smith

Professor Caroline Smith is an experienced clinical acupuncture researcher based at The National Institute of Complementary Medicine, University of Western Sydney.   She has extensive experience in evidence based research including the design, and conduct of large multi-centre randomised controlled trials and systematic reviews. Professor Smith has published over 90 peer reviewed articles, and has an H index of 20, and her research has influenced clinical practice through the inclusion in clinical practice guidelines in Australia and overseas. Professor Smith is on the Advisory Board of the Complementary Medicine Field, and is an editorial board member for the Cochrane Menstrual Disorders and Sub-Fertility Group. Professor Smith has varied research interests, and will be presenting a session on the use of complementary medicines by older Australians and the implications for health practice at the 2nd Annual Blackmores Institute Symposium being held in Melbourne on 23 and 24 October 2015, at the Pullman Melbourne Albert Park. The Blackmores Institute spoke with her in the lead up to the annual event.
