Fish oil reduces total ischaemia events

In a landmark study investigating the effect of fish oil on cardiovascular events, researchers have found that icosapent ethyl – an eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA) derivative, significantly reduced the risk of first, subsequent, and total ischemia events, including cardiovascular death, among patients with elevated triglycerides receiving statins.
