Conflicting data Clinical trials found no interaction. Multiple case reports of changes to INR

Evidence suggests this interaction might occur in some patients

Clinical evaluation by a healthcare professional is recommended to assess the degree of intervention required

Anticoagulants and antiplatelet agents

Meta-analyses in patients taking anti-hypertensive drugs

Evidence suggests this interaction is likely to occur in most patients

Antihypertensive drugs

In vitro studies found beta blockers inhibited mitochondrial CoQ10 enzymes

In vitro and/or animal evidence with unclear implications, however, it cannot exclude the possibility of occurring in humans

Healthcare professional intervention unlikely to be required

Clincial trial in leukaemia and lymphoma patients

Several studies in hyperlipidaemic patients; statins decreased plasma CoQ10 levels (effect on tissue levels not established)

Conflicting data. Clinical trials show conflicting results. Systematic review found inadequate evidence to recommend routine use with statins
