Healthcare practitioners may be able to recommend vitamin D supplementation to people with osteoarthritis to improve quality of life, the journal, Nutrients, reports.

Studying whether vitamin D supplementation could improve muscle strength and physical performance in knee osteoarthritis (OA) in people with low vitamin D status, researchers found grip strength and physical performance improved.
